This is a great example of the very popular but hard to come by, Cox 27 Family Fisher. The boat was re-fitted in 2011 and had a new 70hp Yanmar engine fitted in 1993. She is copper coated and is just about to go back into the water for the season.

The owner had the boat surveyed when he bought it and there were a number of jobs that needed doing and they were all carried out by Morgan Marine prior to completion. I have the survey and list of works available on request. The boat is now back in the water!

The Nimbus 3000 has a great reputation as a motor cruiser and is, as you would expect from Sweden, well built and very well designed and ideal for the Irish Sea!

Like many Scandinavian designs, the use of space is excellent - the wheelhouse contains the galley and a good size seating/dining area. The saloon area has ample storage and seating with access to the port side double berth cabin and the heads. The port side double does not have any cushions and I think the last two owners have only really used it for storage.

The aft cabin is accessed from the wheelhouse providing a well designed cabin with a good size double berth, plenty of storage, a built in wash basin hidden under a hinged lid and a vanity unit.

This is a nice example of the capable Scorpion 8.1 Rib that has done some big trips in the last 10 years: round the UK, Fleetwood to Guernsey return, Scotland and Ireland.

The trailer was bought 8 years ago and the Shearwater Cabin was fitted by the current owner as he wanted the boat for long range cruising. He also runs a small Avon Sea Rider for rib raids etc. The tubes have just been renewed by Northwest Ribs in July 2024. There are two shock mitigation Scott Seats, a single standard jockey seat and a forward seat built into the cabin.

In the engine video you willl notice that the alternator belts are squealing a bit so the owner has ordered some new ones.

This boat has been in the present ownership since 2003 when they bought her from Dickies and they are the third owners.

The boat was out of the water in May '24 and had new anodes and was anti fouled prior to going back into the water.

The owners live a very long way from the boat but they are planning on getting her back to looking her best over the next few weeks and will probably sail her until sold. They have not really been able to get to the boat and use her for the past 18 months.

The interior is in lovely condition and the woodwork is still immaculate and well maintained. The boat has a nice, bright, spacious feel about her with the lighter woodwork and forward and aft double cabins.

Ideal for families or couples wanting to sail in comfort and the fin & bulb keel gives good stability whilst underway.

The engine has always been professionally serviced regularly up until it's last service in 2021.

The boat has been out in October 2024 and had Two copper cooling system pipes replaced at the rear of the engine.

The stern gland was leaking and has been replaced. During this repair grooving was found on the prop shaft and so that has also been replaced and also a new sacrificial anode attached. I have attached a few pictures of her while she was out of the water.

This particular example has been in the current ownership for 14 years and is a credit to them. This boat appears to have been really well maintained and serviced by professionals each year as the owners wanted her to be as reliable as possible for extended summer cruising to Ireland and Scotland including St Kilda and Orkney. Improved menus and additions have been made to the inventory to improve comfort and capability for cruising away from marinas. Most recently she has been used on Lake Windermere.

This Golden Hind 31 is a restoration project. The owner tells me that this particular hull was moulded by Skentelbery of Plymouth about 1990, to an improved customer specification, for his own completion. She has a GRP hull and wooden topsides and cabin.

As you can see from the pictures, the boat has a number of leaks that will need addressing.

This is a nice example of the popular Westerly Merlin 28. They have exceptional space and really do feel like a bigger vessel.

The interior and upholstery looks good and she has had new headlinings and also new 10mm close cell foam insulation which is now covered in new light grey four way stretched carpet.

She has had a brand new Beta 20 engine fitted I April 2024. new PSS shaft seal, new water lock, new standing rigging, new instruments, other than wind. The seacocks have been replaced with nylon ones, new stack pack and dodgers.

In October 2023 she was sanded down and had 7 coats of International VC Tar 2 epoxy primer and was anti fouled. She was launched in May 2024. The decks could do with some grey paint but other that she looks a nice tidy boat.

This is a nice example of a Reverse Layout Collingwood 57 x 10 based on the Lancaster Canal. The mooring is available subject to separate negotiation with the marina.

The hull would benefit from a good polish to bring her back to full colour and please note there is a bow thruster tube fitted but no motor. These are the 3rd owners from new.

As you enter through the aft companionway you have the electric panel and heating controls on the port side cupboard which also houses the battery charger.Under the stairs there is the mains electric panel, galvanic isolator and the inverter and room for some storage. You are now in the new galley with plenty of storage space, a 5 burner gas hob with stainless steel back splash, oven and separate grill, fridge with small integrated freezer, a half size dishwasher and a stainless steel sink drainer. There is a small folding saloon table and chairs.

The interior is nice and bright and the saloon area has an appealing decor with the wallpaper on the wall around the fire. There is a TV fitted on the wall, an attractive double sofa bed and there is a radiator and duck hatch also.

As you move down the corridor you arrive in the good size shower room with a full size shower, Vetus vac flush cassette toilet, stainless towel rail and a large vanity unit with integrated wash basin.

Finally you enter the large forward bedroom with a free standing double bed, what looks like a freestanding triple wardrobe but houses a double wardrobe and a full length section of shelving. There is also a radiator, two matching bedside cabinets and a separate set of six drawers. Access out the front into the forward deck through the doors.

This is a nice example of the spacious classic Freeman 26; a perfect weekender and family boat. She has been well maintained to a very high standard and has had a fortune spent on her in recent years. The hull was rubbed down and epoxy coated and then anti fouled in 2022.

She benefits from 2 x Beta 25hp (2016) engines with extremely low hours so she is really easy to manoeuvre. One engine is showing 76 hours and the other engine will be similar but has recently had a new engine ignition panel which is showing zero hours.

Boatshed Lancashire are pleased to offer for sale this 44ft Cruiser Stern East West Narrowboat built in 2007. These are beautifully put together little boats and are quite sought-after in the second hand marketplace. The interiors are made from Bamboo though you would not necessarily realise that from looking at them but they are all nice and light in colour.

As you enter from the stern companionway you have the switch panel and heating controls on the left and then hidden in the cupboard is the mains electrics and the inverter charger. You are now in the double bedroom with under bed storage, a clever wardrobe opener that slides out and gives you a good size wardrobe. There is a radiator and a privacy door.Next you arrive in the shower room with an electric pump out toilet, small basin and storage and a full size shower that you stand on to get to the toilet to save space. There is another privacy door through to the galley that is well designed with decent storage, washer/dryer, 12v fridge freezer, 4 burner hob, built under oven and grill, stainless sink and drainer and there is also an attractive roof based storage unit.

The saloon is a decent size with storage and corner bench seating. Generally these boats had a small dinette which appears to have been removed on this boat although that may not be the case. To access the outside deck you have to climb over the bench seat. The boat has webasto wet heating feeding 3 radiators throughout the boat.

I seem to remember that the Jaguar 27 was once described as 'one of the most popular small cruisers of her time' by Sailing Today Magazine in January 2004 for they have great space for a 27ft boat and the sliding companionway roof gives a nice airy feel on a nice day.

This boat has been converted to an outboard setup a few years ago although the original engine is still in the boat! The boat also benefits from a Traumatic gas powered blow heater. This 44ft Pintail Boat was not built as a hire boat but was built to a customer's specification. The boat is presently owned by a children's charity who used it for short day trips but they no longer use the boat. She is a fairly open plan layout but there are a couple of privacy doors.

As you come down the aft companionway you arrive in the aft cabin area with bench seats on both sides which also act as beds. Both sides have under bench storage and there is an inverter/charger under the companionway steps.

The galley kitchen has a full size gas cooker, fridge freezer and a stainless steel sink. There is a decent amount of storage under the units. The kitchen opens into the saloon area with a corner bench seating unit that also makes up to a small double bed. There is also a pop up table.

Next is the heads/shower room with an electric pump out toilet, decent size shower and a small vanity unit with built in basin and a small cupboard.

Finally you arrive in the forward cabin with what looks like a single bed although it does pull out to make a double. You would probably need a different mattress though, as this one looks like a single. A folding mattress design would be ideal. Heating is supplied by a Webasto diesel wet heating system running radiators throughout the boat.

This is a nice example of a 2004 John White 50ft Cruiser Stern narrowboat fitted out by Trident Boat fitters. She was out of the water and blacked in Feb 2024.

As you walk down the companionway from the stern you come into the double bedroom with full height wardrobe, overhead locker, plenty of drawer and under bed storage and radiator.

Then you come to the bathroom with full size shower, wash basin vanity unit, Thetford electric cassette toilet and plenty of storage space.

The open plan saloon has fitted units, double bed settee, Villiger solid fuel fire, radiator, Sony CD radio and Logix 12v Freeview TV/DVD. The saloon leads out into the Cratch with more seating/storage and Cratch cover.

This boat will make a great liveaboard or weekend cruiser.

This boat was built by Formosa but to the spec of a Kelly Peterson 46 with a Fin and Skeg. The paperwork is for a Formosa 44 but she is actually the same design layout and dimensions as the Peterson 46 though clearly not an original Kelly Peterson. However, she sails and performs the same and she has been in the same family for over 35 years and one of the sons presently owns the boat. The family are the second owners from new.

This boat is a project for someone who is hands on and looking for a blue-water cruising classic.

The owner has started to rip out the aft cabin which was damp but he does not have the time to finish off the work. Generally the boat needs a lot of updating and the decks are spongy, hence the price.
